Overview
Hideworks is a dark, cinematic template for upholstery shops, leather workshops and car interior specialists. The shop owner buys it, swaps videos, photos and services in the CMS and publishes, alone, a website that feels custom made.
The challenge
The Framer Marketplace is dominated by long-standing creators and by agency, SaaS and portfolio templates. The goal was to launch a product for an audience nobody served, without dropping below the best sellers: finish, motion and ease of editing held to their standard.
The research
Before the first pixel, I cross-referenced data from 343 templates through Framer's public API: categories, prices and gallery formats. None served the automotive field. The same data set the price, the category and even the video on the listing cover.
The process
Every decision tied to a criterion.
- Serious, premium art direction in black and oxblood
- AI-generated media directed like a photo shoot: hands, stitching and details
- CMS architecture in three collections and two custom code components
- A motion system built on a single curve, audited against the principles of Emil Kowalski, Jakub Krehel and Jhey Tompkins
- A full audit against Framer's official template checklist

The launch
I treated the listing as part of the product. I studied the galleries of the 16 best-selling templates and followed their pattern: a large, clean screenshot over the template's own texture, a 4:3 cover video, listing copy, a community post and a buyer's guide.

The result
A Marketplace-ready template, audited against Framer's official checklist, responsive from 360 to 1920 px, accessible and with reduced motion support, presented to the same standard as the best sellers.
